Don't be surprised if all of Charlotte takes the day off tomorrow.

Mark our words. When the Five Day Weekend revolution arrives, the people of Charlotte will be leaning out the windows, waving flags and throwing confetti.

Turnout was fantastic today at our rally in uptown Charlotte, where the reception was second only to our hometown crowd in Asheville.

Hard to say exactly how many people passed through, but it was well in the hundreds. We added about 250 signatures to our petition, which also surpassed the 2,000 mark online today.

Big thanks to everyone who turned out and to our performers. RenElvis, the self-described "Philippino Spawn of Elvis," was a sight to behold (that's him on the right in the photo). Cover band Nighthawk got people moving, and a fortune teller ... um ... told fortunes.

Where to next? Glad you asked! We're swinging the Work Less Express over to Greensboro, N.C., which will have to step up pretty strong to outshine Charlotte. But we have faith, Greensboro. We know you're ready to cast off the chains of overwork. We'll be your huckleberry.
